Having lactose Intolerance.

Ok so before we go further, what exactly is lactose intolerance? Is that your body is unable to digest the sugar in milk, called lactose, this is due to the lack of enzyme lactase, that is usually found in your intestine that digest that sugar, so when people have lactose intolerance when they do have things like milk or milk products and yogurt and things like that, and it causes a lot of nausea, cramps, gas, and indigestion. it's not uncommon to have lactose intolerance.

So if you think that you have lactose intolerance, you probably need to avoid plain milk, a good substitute could be something like soy milk, my children love the soy milk, there's also the rice milk, they don't have lactose in them. Another tip is that you have to make sure that you choose calcium rich foods that are non-dairy or non-animal like of that broccoli, green leafy vegetables, pinto beans, and enriched orange juice because they have added calcium as well that you might be lacking from not having milk products. Another thing is that make sure that you get 2 to 4 servings of calcium-rich foods a day, Now if you know that you are going to eat lactose in some form, you can try taking something that you can buy at the drugstore called Lactase, basically you ingest the enzyme in a pill form before you eat the lactose, it helps reduce the symptoms of cramping, and gassing and all.

If you think you are lactose intolerance, don't feel bad like what i mentioned earlier this is not uncommon. You can still have the good healthy lifestyle without the pain.

Organic-Learn to read the labels

organic food, organic food delivery, organic food online, organic baby food, organic food bars, organic dog food
Whenever you are buying your groceries like maybe meat, milk, fish. It can be a little tricky. There are so many signs that are posted there saying "organic" and other stuffs, but how would you really know the difference, Knowing the meaning of those specific names, will actually help you in your buying decision. If you are going to spend or save on something worth buying or maybe not.

The term natural is always associated with vegetables and fruits, Honestly this is just a marketing strategy to tell you to purchase their products, Fruit and vegetables are natural right? Well, Unless it’s a new kind of food that has been developed and processed, the product is natural. But are you looking for Organic?

Remember organic are foods that are grown without fertilizers or pesticides or any other chemicals, You might be asking why many people are so into organic? Because it has benefits.

Here are the main benefits:

First and foremost, Our mother nature is thanking you for helping her, because no chemicals are being used to grow those plants, thus helping to protect the environment from harmful chemicals. Second, is that your helping yourself because you don't let those chemicals get into your body (through those food of course). Healthier food means healthier you.

But Organic food maybe a little pricey, So if you are in a very very tight budget, you have choices whether your going to buy organic or not. For example:
You don't need to buy organic fruits and vegetables that you can peel, like bananas or oranges, because you are actually peeling the chemicals off from the fruit or vegetables, so if you're going to buy organic, go for fruits like apples because you eat its peel. Just always make sure that you always wash your food before you eat and cook them

You probably heard or see a very tricky sign that says. no "hormones". This is usually associated with dairy products, meat products, well this is false, why? beacuse hormones are naturally produce by all animals, It is very essential to all animals, it regulates body organs, so what does " no hormones" means, Some hormones are given to the animals unnaturally, to increase the production of the milk, so if they say no hormones, maybe it means no hormones were unnaturally given to the animals.

There is this another label that tells if the animals in this meat was penned or caged, doesn't have any difference when it comes to nutritional value of the meat or the quality of it, Well. it matters with the animal rights.

All of these products may be a little expensive than the usual, but it's still up to your so learn to read the labels. and know what it means!

Is Organic Worth It?

organic food, organic foods, organic health, organic store, organic milk, "Organic-Sustainable Farmed Products&quot...Image by kumasawa via Flickr

When you head to the grocery store, shopping for products like eggs, meat, fish, milk, and produce can be very tricky. Signs are posted everywhere labeling food as natural, organic, and a number of other things—but what’s the difference, really? Learning what specific names mean can help you decide if you should shell out extra money on a product of it is simply a marketing ploy.

Natural is a turn associated with a number of fruit and vegetable product. Typically, this is simple a marketing ploy to convince you to buy the product. After all, all fruits and vegetables are natural, right? Unless it’s a new kind of food that has been developed and processed, the product is natural. What you really probably want is organic. Organic foods are grown without chemical pesticides and fertilizers. There are two main benefits to organic foods. First, you are helping the environment because those chemicals are not being introduced into nature. Secondly, you are avoiding ingesting chemicals and are therefore healthy more healthy foods. However, organic products are usually more expensive. If you’re on a budget, skip over organic fruits and vegetables that you can peel, like oranges and bananas. After all, once you’ve discarded the peel, you’ve also discarded the chemicals. Instead, opt for organic items like apples, where you eat the peel. No matter what you buy, however, make sure that you rinse off the food when you get home.

Another tricky label you will see is “no hormones.” This is usually in regards to milk or meat products and is false, since all animals naturally produce hormones. Hormones are what helps an animal (even a human) regulate body organs, have young, and otherwise function. All meat products have hormones. What the labels really mean is that no hormones were unnaturally given to the animal, which is sometimes done to increase milk production. Regardless of hormones, however, the milk and meat is safe for a person and not a violation of an animal’s rights.

Lastly, a label on eggs and meat can indicate if the animal was caged or penned. This does not make a difference in the quality or nutritional value of the meat, but is simply a matter of animal rights. These products may be a bit more expensive, but if you want to make human decisions, that is the way to go. Reading the label and making healthy choices can sometimes be difficult, but learning how to do so can help you make the best choices for you diet.

The healthiest milk.

My daughter hated milk nowadays and I'm always trying to buy something that are flavored. And i ended up with chocolate milk. There are many people who love milk but are too conscious about their health so they ended up not drinking it any more. Here some great milks that you shouldn't taken for granted. A little knowledge about hem won't hurt.

Oat milk, low fat enriched with Calcium and Vitamin D-
craving variety (or really allergy prone)? Oat milk, which taste like Quaker instant with sugar in it. contains 2 grams of fiber per serving(half of which is the soluble, cholesterol-lowering kind). The other grain option, rice milk, is not much more than sugar water with a few added nutrients. Skip it. Oat's low protein means it's less that stellar for active babes looking to build muscle.

Soy Milk- Light unflavored, enriched with calcium and Vitamin D. Agodsend for milk lovers with daily allergies, thick nutty soy milk could help lower your LDL(also known as the bad) cholesterol a few points and some studies shows that it may help protect against nreast cancer. Going light and unflavored allows you to skip extra sugar-chocolate and vanilla flavors ban have two or three times as much.

Cow's milk- fat free skim milk, According to the new study in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the protein in cow's milk is twice as good at building muscle after workout as its soy counterpart. And without the saturated fat of whole milk, skim won't strain the two percent spandex in your jeans.

Health food, The magic of soybean.

Tofu, soy milk, miso soup, etc. Are just some of the soy products i love. but as i grow up, I've learned that many products in the market are now selling soybean supplements, I have nothing against soya capsules, i just still believe that natural soybean are still the best one.

There are so many reasons why people use soya products as an alternative to dairy products:

For some medical reasons, People who has allergy to milk proteins or lactose intolerance take soya milk instead. Soy can reduce cholesterol
Soy products also help to control the cholesterol level because soybean is cholesterol-free. Soy has soluble fibers that helps to reduce the amount of cholesterol, That are circulating in the our body through our blood. The soy proteins also reduce the cholesterol level.most of the fats in soy products are helpful. It has soy isoflavones that may prevent atherosclerosis

It is known that in most Asian countries were traditional soy products are taken on a daily basis, their rates of cardiovascular diseases are low. Soy also improves the health of our bones. Soy products, such as soy milk, doesn't contain a lot of calcium but the soy isoflavones may help reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Many studies have suggested and shown that soy isoflavones may be a factor in helping to prevent bone loss.

But we all know that anything too much is bad for our health. Soya is no exception. So to be healthy do not just focus into taking just one kid of food. but to have a well balanced diet. and in your diet don't forget to include Soy.

Health Drink, Camel's milk...Uh-oh!

This may sound a little unpleasant for some people. But for the residents and workers of United Arab Emirates, They like to eat ice cream....made from camel's milk. You heard it right.

Camel's milk is selling like hot cakes now in U.A.E. Instead of buying goat's milk. Most people In U.A.E. are now into camel's milk. Even chocolates that are made from camel's milk were a big hit.
A tribe of Bedouin i n Al Ain were groups of people that take camel's milk so that they can last more days in the dessert and withstand the heat. Because They say that this kind of milk is good against heat. Even though it may have a bad smell and unpleasant taste, more and more residents(in UAE) nowadays are drinking camel's milk.

Seedhara M.J. A production Manager of Al AinFarms for Livestock Dairy Productions(AAFLDP) said that Camel's milk wasn't consumed very often before, It was once only used for Diabetes. Because It is high in Insulin.Seedhara also mentioned that AAFLDP now produced ice cream and chocolates made from Pure Camel's milk.

Seedhara also said that

It is low in fat content. It only has 2 to 2.5 % only or 40% less cholesterol compare to cows milk.

High in Microbial protein-Lactoferin that strengthen the immune system

High in Vitamin C and Minerals

It also has moisturizing agent Elastin that helps reduce wrinkles, Strengthens teeth, hair and skin

Helps people with allergies and are lactose intolerance

Very rich in Calcium that makes bones stronger, Helps pregnant women and prevents osteoporosis

I love milk, most of us do. But, I don't think everyone would be into this. Even after you've heard about the benefits. I think i can try the chocolate ice cream, but i don't think I'm ready for the pure Camel's milk.

Breastfeeding: how to increase breast milk fast.

SAN FRANCISCO - DECEMBER 4: A man holds a Got...Image by Getty Images via Daylife
Normally breast milk is increased by eating green and leafy vegetables but taking the right multivitamins can enhance milk reproduction more especially after taking birth.

I have talked to a lot of moms who used to have the same problem as i do. Not enough breast milk supply. But my OBgyne gave me Natalac. And i must say it really works, within just few hours after taking it. It is made by mallungay leaves or moringa. This is i think the most popular capsules here in our country(Philippines) that will surely increase your breast milk . And it's been around for so many years already.

Almost all the mothers i know have taken this capsules and achieve good results.
Natalac capsule is a natural health food supplement. It contains 250 mg (dry weight) of superior quality Moringa leaves rich in iron, Calcium and Phosporus. It is ideal for lactating mothers whose breast milk provides the best nourishment and most natural way of caring for infants. Generations of mothers have taken Moringa leaves cooked in a broth and taken liberally to promote milk secretion in mothers with inadequate lactation. This is usually taken 1 to twice a day for just 2 weeks or depends upon your doctor's prescription.

This is not available in some other countries but you could try to look for it on ebay. and there are a lot of moringa capsules available on the internet. Just make sure to buy only to trusted sites. So moms, if breast pump is such a pain, you may want to try this.

3 weight-loss tips to shed off lbs. easily.

Here are some tips that are very easy to follow. It may help you lose weight without too much pain.

1. Fresh air may lead you to work out more.
People who walked, hiked or biked on trails at least once a week were twice as likely to get 30 minutes of exercise almost every day as those who didn't head outdoors, say researchers from the University of Utah. So try to skip the gym every once in a while and get outside

2. Eating more calcium-rich food may help in the battle of the bulge.
Recent studies have suggested. A study of overweight people by Danish scientists hints at why dairy might help dieters: It seems to reduce fat absorption. After study participants ate meals that contained either a high or medium amount of low- fat yogurt and milk, their blood-fat levels were 15 to 19 percent lower than those of a group that ate only a small amount of dairy. Interestingly, this was true even when participants who were given the low dairy meals also took a calcium supplement. Good thing i love cheese.

3. Look for a quiet spot - People who sit in the more distracting parts of restaurants ( by a window or in front of a TV) eat considerably more, says Brian Wansick, Ph.d. Author of Mindless eating: why we eat more than we think. Commotion makes it eay to lose track of how much you're putting in your mouth. If you're making a reservation, request a quiet table. If you walk in and offered a table in a busier spot, ask for one away from the action -Jessica costole
So the next time you thought of eating in front of a TV, think again. You might have eaten more than what you think. It does affect your waistline.

Working out and paying attention to your diet can lead you to lose weight, but these tips may help you too lose some more even if your out of the gym and just taking your break. Have a nice weekend!
