Newborn, new baby, new tasks?

Having newborn is not a simple task that you can just do it without love. And you have new babies at home might think about the many things that a mother or a father needs to take care of a baby, and of course what are the things that you need.. Here are few steps that I would like to share, that will help and guide you through with your newborn

First of all, you’ll need to have clothing and for him or her.And blankets as well. Remember that these clothing and blankets are especially made for a newborn. They need to be comfortable, strong and washable. Do not waste your time and money on expensive clothing that he or she is going to throw up or have diaper leak. Remember that your baby’s needs are safety; comfort and you have to provide that.

You are also going to need diapers for your newborn. Remember that your baby is going to grow and she or he is going to need diapers. You have to keep her weight and her size in mind when you are picking out diapers and do not by too many at one time. If you go with cloth diapers or disposable ones, remember that you should have plenty at all times because you are going to need them and be prepared for the baby to grow very fast.

feeding bottles are also necessary even if you are breastfeeding for your baby. These should be for a newborn and should be the right size for him or her. There are many different brands and they will each have their own philosophies on what is better for the baby. You should do your research when it comes to your conclusions about what is going to be best for your baby when it comes to bottles. You may also want to have some pacifiers on hand because they can be helpful when nothing else will help.

Always remember that your newborn is going to need plenty of cognitive stimulation. Remember that it is important have brightly colored rattles and other thins so that your baby’s brain can develop as best as it can and so that you are able to help with cognitive development of your baby. Keep dangerous items behind locked doors out of the baby’s reach and have enough supplies so that you will only need to make short trips to the store.

Eating a lot, but still skinny?

Are you still bothered with your sister, friend, neighbor who eats a lot but stays slim and never gain a pound? Here's something that you must read

Our body shapes and sizes vary because we have different metabolic rates or metabolism. The determinants of the metabolic rates are sex, the amount of exercise that we do everyday, age and the amount of muscle compared to fat. These are the main reason why our body shapes differs from one another. So don’t think that if one is so skinny, he probably is choosy when eating. There are times that our metabolism are affected by the hormonal factors or genetics. So no longer wonder if you know someone who eat like there’s no tomorrow, and stays very thin.

Males and Females have different metabolic rates, Women have lower metabolic rates than those of the men, and testosterone is the reason behind it. We learned from school that the responsible for the “manly matters” among their aspect when it comes to physiological is none other than testosterone. This includes the muscle growth. We also know that Women has lesser muscles than men, this is the reason why men has lower metabolic rates. Women have progesterone and estrogen as sex hormones.

When it comes to age, The children, infants and teenagers have higher metabolic rates, because children, infants and teenagers are the age groups that have active growth hormones. Now, these human active growth hormones are not given to matured adults this may lead to some problems. These are only given to children who are suffering from abnormal growing rate.

Pregnant women have higher metabolic rates and especially those breastfeeding, I so agree with this as I’m a living proof of how fast my metabolic rates nowadays. And to maintain these higher-than-normal metabolic rates, an exercise daily is such a great help.

Do you think that exercising in the evening better than other times of the day?

Doesn’t matter, There is no studies that prove that time does affect the effects of exercise in our body. The best idea is to exercise at your own convenient time. Try to do this three times a week and you will definitely see results. So don’t worry or don’t bother if your sister never gain a pound even if she eats like there’s no tomorrow. Metabolism differs.

Breastfeeding: Mommy for rent in China

Breastfeeding an infantImage via WikipediaAs a breastfeeding mom, this is something that really caught my attention and i want to share it to you.
While others are busy on how to solve the milk problems in Different countries, One woman in China has took advantage of this situation and thought of an alternative way to earn money.

A lot of moms in China are having the same problems with their babies' milk. But for Huang, 32 years old from Chengdu, China. This is not her problem because she breastfeed her 3 month-old baby boy.She said that her milk is more than enough for his baby.

So her thought that she can produce more milk and give it to other babies began, But it's not for free. You got to have at least 300 Yuan or $44 to avail her milk/per day. Huang and his husband agreed to let the customers rent one bedroom in their house or rent a room near their house. SO that Huang wouldn't have a hard time transferring from babies to babies.

She said that the parents don't need to worry about her health, or any health problems that might be passed from her to the babies, She is willing to have a check up/ over all examination before she give her service. With the help of her niece, They post an ad over the Internet and business is booming.

Everyday she managed to produce at least 2 kilos or 4.4lbs of milk, Aside From Huang, There are also many mothers who do the same thing in the city of Shenzhen. This Job can earn 18,000 Yuan a month. And their Government has nothing against this kind of business.

I must say that breastfeeding is really the best for your babies and other people's babies. If this kind of job can help other people, Why not. I just thought that this kind of service should be free, but i know how it feels to breast feed, so maybe these moms are just thinking about the pain and the effort of breastfeeding that's why they ask for money but i just hope that it wont cost too much. At this kind of tragic problems we should be helping each other and not taking advantage, right?

Breastfeeding: how to increase breast milk fast.

SAN FRANCISCO - DECEMBER 4: A man holds a Got...Image by Getty Images via Daylife
Normally breast milk is increased by eating green and leafy vegetables but taking the right multivitamins can enhance milk reproduction more especially after taking birth.

I have talked to a lot of moms who used to have the same problem as i do. Not enough breast milk supply. But my OBgyne gave me Natalac. And i must say it really works, within just few hours after taking it. It is made by mallungay leaves or moringa. This is i think the most popular capsules here in our country(Philippines) that will surely increase your breast milk . And it's been around for so many years already.

Almost all the mothers i know have taken this capsules and achieve good results.
Natalac capsule is a natural health food supplement. It contains 250 mg (dry weight) of superior quality Moringa leaves rich in iron, Calcium and Phosporus. It is ideal for lactating mothers whose breast milk provides the best nourishment and most natural way of caring for infants. Generations of mothers have taken Moringa leaves cooked in a broth and taken liberally to promote milk secretion in mothers with inadequate lactation. This is usually taken 1 to twice a day for just 2 weeks or depends upon your doctor's prescription.

This is not available in some other countries but you could try to look for it on ebay. and there are a lot of moringa capsules available on the internet. Just make sure to buy only to trusted sites. So moms, if breast pump is such a pain, you may want to try this.

How to raise smart kids? ....Right healthy food

Me (User:NHRHS2010) when I was a baby, playing...Image via Wikipedia It's the food. Most parents( like us) knows that good nutrition provide good energy and health in our little ones but do we really know which food makes our babies smart?
The most rapid brain growth occurs during the first year of life, With the infant's brain tripling in size by the first birthday. At this time, the brain uses 60% of total energy.

That's why getting enough (and the right kinds) of fat greatly affects brain developments and performance. It should compromise half of baby's daily diet( as mother nature knows so well- 50% of breast milk is fat) So for all mom to be, never think twice of breast feeding you babies on the way.

Different species provide different fat in their milk, fine tuned to the needs of that particular animal. For example mother cows provide milk high in saturated fats and low in brain building fats, such as DHA. This helps their calves grow rapidly, though it may not be much for the brains. In adult cows, the brain is small compared to the body. Cows don't have to do a lot of thinking to survive. In human infants, the brain grows faster than the body. Human milk is low in body-building saturated fats and rich in brain-building fats, such as DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), an omega 3 fatty acid. Now you have one significant reason why you should breastfeed.

Now here's just some of the list of food that you may want to add in your babies daily diet. This will help their brain development while making them smarter compare to other babies.

  • Avocado
  • Green beans and peas
  • Squash, potatoes, carrots
  • Sweet potato
